Sabrina’s Candy and Creamery - Oyster Bay, NY

At this local sweets shop, you’ll not only find a full array of artisanal ice creams but also an ample assortment of nostalgic candies, handcrafted chocolates, and endless confections. You can scoop your own bag of candy, or even an entire paint can full, order custom ice cream cakes and gifts, or pull up a seat and enjoy your scoop of ice cream or slurp on a milkshake.

Sugar Crazy - Plainview, NY

There’s not a sweet thing that you could crave that this store doesn’t have. From custom candy baskets to edible cookie dough to chocolates and candy, Sugar Crazy is one of the candy stores in Nassau County that has it all and definitely takes its name seriously. Here you’ll find all your classic candies, custom candy boards, gelato and ice cream, handmade chocolates, and even non-edible gifts and party favors.

Grandma’s Candy Kitchen - Wantagh, NY

For some classic and nostalgic candy, hit up this candy kitchen, which has been in business for over 40 years. The store handcrafts its own custom chocolate creations, which all have fantastic reviews. Additionally, the store is stocked with all of the candy- and cake-making supplies you could possibly need. Get inspiration from the store’s chocolate selection and pick up some molds and ingredients to create your own unique confections.

The Chocolate Duck - Farmingdale, NY

This veteran is one of the candy shops in Nassau County that has been in business for over 30 years and has quite a few impressive accolades under its belt. In 2022, it won Bethpage’s Best of LI Best Chocolatier Award and even offers classes taught by pastry chef Christina Bisbee of “Cake Wars” and “Last Cake Standing” fame. Custom cakes, chocolate-covered strawberries, cupcakes, and cake pops can all be found in this store, as well as an array of cake-making and decorating tools and supplies for home bakers.

Gumdrop Garden - Massapequa, NY

From candy bouquets to candy trays, this spot is idyllic for anyone with a sweet tooth. While the popular candy store is sure to have all your favorites, it also is continuously receiving new shipments, including candy from overseas. Not only that, but Gumdrop Garden also has a range of gifts and even offers custom candy tables for big events.

Hicksville Sweet Shop - Hicksville, NY

It might be called the Hicksville Sweet Shop, but this locale actually does double duty, serving as both a full-service diner and a candy and ice cream shop all in one. In addition to the full menu of savory everyday dishes, you can order up a refreshing milkshake or ice cream sundae, plus pick up some local chocolates to take home.

Schwartz Candies - Carle Place, NY

Another one of the veteran candy stores in Nassau County, longstanding institution, Schwartz Candies dates all the way back to 1939 when it was founded by Al Schwartz and served as a restaurant and ice cream shop before transforming into a candy store. Famous for its chocolate-covered marshmallows, the store also makes all manner of chocolate confections, from almond bark to popcorn brittle to shortbread cookies.
