And, for a perfect end to your day, venture to the West End and experience the beauty of Charles E. Ransom Beach, where pristine shoreline and stunning sunsets await. Morning

Start your day with Breakfast in Bayville’s Heart: Grab a coffee and pastries at Scoop & Coffee or indulge in a local favorite at Bayville Deli & Pizzeria.

Beach Adventure at Centre Island Beach

Head east on Bayville Road toward Centre Island Beach, a serene haven where the Long Island Sound meets Oyster Bay Harbor. Unwind on the 650-foot pebbly beach and let the kids explore the intriguing tunnel linking the two bodies of water.

Lunch

Picnic Pleasures: Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch at Centre Island Beach, soaking in the scenic views. Pre-order from Bayville Meat Center or grab sandwiches and pizza on the go from Bayville Deli & Pizzeria. If you prefer, there’s also a snack bar available at the beach.

Note: Don’t forget to use the facilities at Centre Island Beach before departing, as there are no public restrooms in downtown Bayville.

Afternoon

After lunch, venture into downtown Bayville. Treat yourself to delectable gelato from Scoop & Coffee, sample unique pickles from the local pickle store, and peruse the Over the Bridge gift shop for souvenirs. They have well-built sweatshirts and beautiful gifts. Owner Mary Jean also recommends the Old Tappan Brew Company right across the street. After exploring and shopping, enjoy a scenic stroll along Bayville’s waterfront on the picturesque Bayville Bridge or West Shore Drive, soaking in the breathtaking views of Oyster Bay.

Evening

Conclude your Bayville adventure with dinner delights by the water — scrumptious dinner and drinks at one of the charming waterfront eateries. Choose from the likes of Ocean or Wall’s Wharf and revel in the unparalleled beauty of Bayville’s sunset vistas You’ll find seafood and a raw bar at Shultzy’s, and Mill Creek Tavern offers American cuisine in a relaxed setting of casual elegance. Another local favorite is The Clam Bar at Bridge Marine. This waterside restaurant offers “the freshest clams you’ll find anywhere on Long Island.” For those coming by sea, they have a 160-foot floating dock for you to tie up, along with a launch service to bring you to the restaurant and return you to your vessel when you’re finished. All types of watercraft are welcome.

Another Great Way to End the Day is at Bayville’s West End

Since spending time in Bayville is all about making the most of its prime waterfront location you will be hard-pressed to find a more picturesque spot than Charles E. Ransom Beach on the far West End of the village. Just continue west on Bayville Road and it will take you all the way. You’ll see the expanse of the Sound on your right along with ample parking. This 800-foot stretch of pristine Long Island Sound shoreline is open to both residents and non-residents alike. Although swimming and dogs are prohibited, visitors are captivated by the breathtaking views, including glimpses of Connecticut on clear days. Renowned for its stunning sunsets, this beach is a must-visit destination. Adjacent to the beach, discover local eateries like Ralph’s Pizza, Souvlaki Place, and more.
