2025 Ryder Cup Hits Nassau County

A Home in Long Island

For the first time ever, the Ryder Cup will be staged at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, Nassau County, running from September 23 to 28, 2025. It joins Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester (1995) as the only two New York venues ever to host the event.

What Makes Bethpage Black Special?

Bethpage Black is renowned for its brutal difficulty, long layout, punishing rough, and tight fairways, making it an ideal venue to challenge elite golfers and shape fierce rivalries.

The Matchup & Stakes

Set for September 26–28, 2025, Team USA under Keegan Bradley will face defending champions Europe under captain Luke Donald. Europe’s squad includes strategic insights from advisor Paul McGinley, a Ryder Cup legend himself.

Fan Dynamics

Organizers are taking no chances with crowd behavior. Given New York’s passionate sports fans, measures are in place, including crowd observers, strict monitoring, and ejections if necessary, to preserve respect and sportsmanship.

Individual Rivalries

The stage is set for sparks as Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau reignite their rivalry, fueling extra drama, especially given recent course tweaks like a drivable first hole and altered rough to play to the American team’s advantage.
