Celebrate America250 at Jones Beach
One of the most anticipated events of the summer takes place on Saturday, July 4, when Jones Beach hosts a special America250 Fireworks Spectacular.
Beginning at approximately 9:30 p.m., the display will illuminate the skies above the Atlantic Ocean in honor of the nation’s 250th birthday. Visitors can spend the day enjoying the beach, boardwalk, dining options, and oceanfront views before settling in for one of Long Island’s most iconic Independence Day traditions.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, as parking lots typically fill quickly for holiday events.
The Blue Angels Return for a Special July Air Show
The patriotic celebration continues beyond July 4 with the FourLeaf Air Show at Jones Beach on July 5 and 6.
Traditionally held over Memorial Day Weekend, the beloved air show has been moved to Independence Day Weekend in 2026 as part of America250 festivities.
Headlining the show will be the United States Navy Blue Angels, whose precision flying demonstrations have thrilled audiences for generations. Additional military and civilian performers will take to the skies throughout the weekend, making this one of the most exciting events of the summer.
The combination of the July 4 fireworks and the July 5–6 air show creates an extended patriotic celebration unlike any other in Nassau County.
TD Bank Celebrate America Returns to Eisenhower Park
Kick off the holiday weekend early at the TD Bank Celebrate America Fireworks & Show on Thursday, July 2, at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow.
One of Nassau County’s most popular Independence Day traditions, this free community event takes place at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre (Parking Field 6) and features an evening of live entertainment, patriotic fun, and a spectacular fireworks finale.
Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with performances by Glenn Strange, Chicken Head, and Let Freedom Rock, setting the stage for a memorable summer evening. As the sun sets, the celebration culminates with a massive fireworks and drone display, creating a dazzling tribute to America’s 250th anniversary.
Guests are encouraged to bring folding chairs or picnic blankets and arrive early, as Parking Field 6 fills quickly. A rain date is scheduled for Saturday, July 5.
Dine, Celebrate, and Watch Fireworks at The Comet Club
If you’re looking to elevate your Fourth of July plans, head to The Comet Club in Westbury for an afternoon and evening of great food, live music, and holiday festivities.
One of Long Island’s newest dining destinations, The Comet Club is hosting a special July 4th BBQ from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., inspired by the classic American summer gathering. Guests can enjoy an abundant BBQ feast featuring lobster rolls, slow-cooked ribs, marinated shrimp, chicken wings, smash burgers, fresh salads, guacamole, fries, and more, all included with admission ($99 per person).
Throughout the day, live music sets the tone for a fun and social holiday atmosphere, while the full-service bar offers summer cocktails, wine, beer, and seasonal specials available for purchase.
As evening approaches, grab a drink, relax on the patio, and take in views of the Jones Beach fireworks. It’s a unique way to celebrate Independence Day without heading directly to the beach, combining great food, entertainment, and holiday spirit in one memorable experience.
