Dine-Ins and Classic Movie Theaters: Going to the Movies in Nassau County

Are you looking for a little movie magic on Long Island? Nassau County has you covered. While many movie theaters around the country have closed in recent years, there is a vibrant, local cinema scene in Nassau County.

From historic gems oozing with turn-of-the-century charm to dine-in multiplexes with reclining seats, moviegoers can catch the latest blockbuster or an independent flick. So, grab your tickets, some buttered popcorn, and potentially even a glass of wine or beer and settle in for a show.

Below are seven of the best movie theaters in Nassau County, N.Y. Just remember to turn off your cell phones before the movie begins.

1. AMC Dine-In Levittown 10, Levittown

Cinephiles can enjoy dinner and a movie—without ever leaving the reclining seats they can book in advance at this beloved 10-screen theater at the Nassau Mall. They can also enjoy beer and wine at the theater’s MacGuffins Bar. Those looking to save a few bucks on tickets (and who isn’t these days?) can score discounts for matinee and Tuesday showings.

2. AMC Raceway 10, Westbury

Don’t worry about rushing to the theater to get good seats. Moviegoers can reserve seats ahead of time at this 10-screen cinema. And tickets are 25% off every day before 4 p.m.

3. Bellmore Movies & The Showplace, Bellmore

4. Cradle of Aviation Museum’s Catholic Health Sky Theater Planetarium, Garden City
