When the days grow shorter and the nights begin to sparkle, there’s no better way to celebrate the holiday season than under millions of twinkling lights. This year, LuminoCity Holiday Lights Festival returns to Eisenhower Park in Nassau County with a breathtaking new theme: Fantasy Winter Fairyland, a whimsical, walk-through wonderland that’s bigger, brighter, and more magical than ever before.

From November 7, 2025, through January 1, 2026, visitors can experience 14 acres of dazzling displays, interactive art, and photo-perfect moments all led by Lumi, the festival’s friendly mascot who guides guests through a storybook journey filled with imagination and cheer.

A Long Island Holiday Tradition Reimagined

Each year, LuminoCity transforms Eisenhower Park into a glowing world of light and artistry. It’s become one of Long Island’s most beloved seasonal events and for good reason. This year’s Fantasy Winter Fairyland theme takes the magic even further, blending the beauty of winter with the creativity of fairytales.

Imagine strolling through glittering forests of color, walking beneath glowing archways, and standing in awe before towering sculptures that shimmer against the night sky. Every step brings a new surprise and every corner is a chance to capture that perfect photo.

This immersive festival is one of the largest light experiences in the United States, and each installation is handcrafted with hundreds of thousands of LED lights, making it an unforgettable experience for families, friends, and couples alike.

What’s New in 2025

This year’s festival introduces several can’t-miss attractions that promise to make Fantasy Winter Fairyland the most memorable LuminoCity yet:

  • Ride the Lumi Express Holiday Train: Take a ride on Eisenhower Park’s very first holiday train! The brand-new Lumi Express offers a joyful journey through tunnels of lights and festive music, bringing holiday spirit to kids and adults alike. (Seats are limited, and tickets are sold on-site.)
  • Castle in the Sky: Prepare to be amazed by this 50-foot-tall light installation, one of the tallest light sculptures in North America. This glowing castle is a dreamlike centerpiece that seems to float among the stars.
  • Snow Dream Slide: Glide into a winter fairytale as you slide through glowing snow clouds and icy blue lights. Perfect for kids (and kids at heart), this free attraction is included with every ticket.
  • Lumi’s Utopia Children’s Drawing Contest: Creativity shines at the 4th annual art initiative hosted in partnership with the Long Island Children’s Museum. Young artists’ hand-drawn creations are transformed into glowing 3D light sculptures — turning imagination into illumination.
  • Themed Nights & Dress-Up Fun: Whether you’re posing with Lumi, showing off your best cosplay, or rocking your tackiest holiday sweater, LuminoCity’s special event nights add a playful twist to your visit.
