Eisenhower Park is about to glow again and this year, there’s even more to explore.

LuminoCity Holiday Lights Festival returns to Nassau County for its fifth anniversary with four immersive worlds, more than 100 glowing and animatronic creatures and, for the first time, the Lumi Express holiday train.

From November 11, 2026, through January 3, 2027, the 14-acre walk-through experience will transform Eisenhower Park into a colorful holiday adventure filled with larger-than-life displays, interactive attractions, festive photo opportunities and plenty of surprises along the way.

Four Magical Worlds to Explore

This year’s LuminoCity experience takes visitors through four distinct worlds, each with its own scenery, characters and sense of adventure.

In Magical Wonderwood, nature comes alive after dark with glowing animals and playful creatures surrounded by brilliant color.

Next, travel millions of years into the past in Dino Safari, where prehistoric giants roam among illuminated forests, oversized blooms and colorful landscapes.

The holiday spirit takes center stage in Holidayville, home to a towering 40-foot Christmas tree, festive displays and plenty of opportunities to capture a holiday photo.

Then venture into Tundra Twilight, an enchanting winter wilderness filled with glowing wildlife and dreamy landscapes beneath the stars.

With more than 100 creatures appearing throughout the experience, there’s something new waiting around nearly every corner.

Even More to Experience in 2026

The lights may be the main attraction, but there are plenty of new ways to experience LuminoCity this season.

For the first time, visitors can climb aboard the Lumi Express, LuminoCity’s first-ever holiday train ride in New York. The train travels through the illuminated landscape, giving guests a new perspective on the festival. The Lumi Express is an add-on experience, with limited spots available each day.

Kids can also step inside Happy Holidays Hop, a 20-foot-tall Santa inflatable designed for bouncing away the winter chill.

New themed photo opportunities bring visitors closer to glowing animals and playful creatures while offering interactive takes on classic holiday scenes.

And keep an eye out for Santa Claus, who will make pop-up appearances on select weekends throughout the season.

Young Artists Light Up the Festival

One of LuminoCity’s most creative traditions returns this season.

Lumi’s Utopia, created in collaboration with the Long Island Children’s Museum, turns children’s original artwork into handcrafted 3D light sculptures displayed at the festival.

Inspired by the 2026 theme, “Dino Friends,” this year’s winning creations will take their place among the lights, bringing young artists’ imaginations to life on a much larger scale.

Make a Night of It

There’s plenty to keep families entertained beyond the illuminated displays.

Kids can dance across a colorful LED dance floor, play on an LED seesaw that lights up with every rise and fall and climb inside the Happy Holidays Hop inflatable.

Visitors can also warm up with hot chocolate and sweet and savory bites from the on-site food and beverage vendor before stopping by the LuminoCity Gift Shop for limited-edition holiday merchandise and festive keepsakes.

Most visitors spend approximately one to two hours exploring the festival, but once you enter during your reserved session, you’re welcome to stay until closing.

The festival is also ADA-compliant, stroller-friendly and kid wagon-friendly, making it accessible for families with visitors of different ages and abilities.
